The Hammer of Sisu was intercepted mid-flight by a Unity patrol vessel, which demanded to inspect them. Jshal’s rude behavior to the inspection agent and their escort resulted in them finding “contraband” which they demanded be turned over for “confiscation”. The crew capitulated than risk stricter enforcement measures.
After landing they set about finding contacts and preparing to pursue their leads. John made contact with Winslet Communications, a corporation on the planet that had a job for them.
However the crew was ambushed while crossing the space port by a group of hired guns before they could meet with John’s contact. The crew made short work of the mercenaries, but after doing so found their corporate contact had been murdered. Suspicion immediately fell on the crew but they were able to convince the authorities - with the aid of some eye witnesses - that the crew was just defending themselves.
The crew regrouped back at their ship, where Reya got in an argument with the rest of the crew and locked herself in her quarters to get away from them for a while.
