While John and Willow continued to be snubbed by the job brokers and middlemen on Los Xenesh 5, Shadowfang scores some high quality rations from a liquidation sale. On her way back she radios in to the crew — a group of mercs she recognized as being Blood Storm Mercenaries were tailing her.
Shadowfang took a detour through an industrial zone, losing the mercs long enough to meet up with the rest of the crew just before the mercs started shooting. The well-trained mercs laid down heavy covering fire but the crew managed to pincer them, with Shadowfang herself leaping behind their lines with her jump belt to knock one of the mercs out for questioning before the rest were driven off.
Questioning the mercenary revealed that Q’narr, a crime lord who used to work with Jshal before the parted ways un-amicably. It seems Q’narr is looking for revenge.
