< Turn 11
During the downtime between jobs, John and Willow sit down and discuss their situation. John seems to think they’ve bitten off more than they can chew - he’s just a scientist - but Willow is insistent she’s finally found the adventure she’s been looking for. This planet in particular is dangerous and interesting enough that she’s strongly considering staying behind when the crew leaves, which John is obviously against.
Their heart-to-heart is cut short when Jshal calls everyone to the conference room to reveal their next job, revealing his ulterior motive for traveling to Los Xenesh 5. Turns out Q’narr has a stash house here, and Jshal wants to hit it hard in retaliation for Q’narr’s hired attack on the crew. Although it doesn’t seem like it would help their current mission to expose Reactive Sequence, Jshal convinces the crew mostly due to the loot they’d be able to score from there before they blew up whatever was left.
The camp is in a small clearing on an island dominated by tropical jungle, and the crew makes landfall and sneaks in without alerting the sparse defense team. The crew closes under the jungle’s cover and springs a surprise attack. Willow’s new rattlegun does excessive damage while the others close to make short work of the survivors.
The crew secures as many valuables as they can before leaving charges behind to blow the camp as they walk away dramatically (though Jshal does look back).
